We assist young companies in a highly hands-on way to increase their chances of success, and to make the crucial transition from start-up to IPO or sale of the company. We work in three specific ways:
Capital: We are a venture capital fund as well
as a capital network. Through Genesys Angelbridge
Fund we leverage our successful "jewel in the rough" strategy. Angelbridge targets Internet ventures in the infrastructure, enabling tools and e-commerce marketplaces. We like products that help other companies increase their sales, reduce costs, and mine data for market intelligence. Our capital network ranges from angels, venture capital firms, and corporate venture capital funds to major investment banks.
Strategy: We shape business strategies for success in the most competitive marketplace in the world--the Internet-based information industry. We sharpen the vision, and help in the early heavy lifting. In today's tough marketplace nothing counts more than customers and sales. Smart strategy and execution are the essence of
successful deals.
Mergers and Acquisitions: We specialize in the sale or roll-up of ventures with logical strategic partners, from locating the right partner, to negotiating the deal. We focus on a space where many larger investment banks are not effective. We are the net difference for small companies with big ideas.
Criteria for Deals:
We look for companies that meet the following criteria:
- have developed a significant information product or service, preferably targeting a business-to-business audience
- leverage the Internet
- have the potential to reach $100mm+ valuation within 3-5 years
- are operational and are generating sales revenues, or are within a year of such revenues
- have most, but not necessarily all, of the key management team in place
- have already raised initial seed capital
and are looking to raise $5mm-$10mm+ in development capital
- can benefit from strategic partners
